MIXED FRUIT BOX

A great way to sample various Central Otago fruits that are eating the best at time of dispatch.  Each box contains peaches, nectarines, apricots and plums when available.

GIFT BOX / VOUCHERS

Gift Vouchers are available from our online shop and can be used online and at our Road Side stalls.

Pick a fruit box of your choice to send as a gift and a personal message can be included.

WHEN CAN YOU BUY WEBB’S FRUIT

Different fruit types and their varieties ripen at different times between January and March. Refer to our Fruit We Grow for more details.

Please note this is an approximate guide as our fruit types vary.

12.5kg - 90-70 Fruits (Mixed, Peaches, Nectarines, Peacharines)
10kg - 170-125 Fruits (Apricots, Plums)
9kg - 50-40 Fruits (Apples, Pears)
8kg - 55-45 Fruits (Peaches, Nectarines, Peacharines, Mixed)
8.5kg - 55-45 Fruits (Mixed)
5kg - 85-60 Fruits (Apricots, Plums)
4kg - 30-20 Fruits (Nectarines, Peaches, Peacharines, Mixed)

TRAVEL BOXES

Robustly made in corrugated cardboard to our specifications, Webb’s Fruit Travel Boxes are either single or double stacked with fruit placed by hand into moulded plastic trays called plix. These are designed to offer the best possible protection and to further ensure that when you buy Webb’s Fruit there is ‘Quality In Every Bite’.


DISPATCH

DELIVERY INFORMATION

Dispatch days are Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday to ensure “Webbs Quality in Every Bite’”. Orders need to be placed by 1pm the day before dispatch, to guarantee the fruit will leave Webb's Fruit orchard the following day.

We use NZ Couriers

Delivery is OVERNIGHT standard NZ wide, if delays occur during the season due to the current environment with Covid 19, your fruit is packed to withstand 2-3 days travel and is a priority delivery if delayed.

Rural Delivery/Non-Urban deliveries can take 2-3 days and will be at the customers own risk, we highly recommend delivery to a friend/relative, your local business hub or a NZ Couriers agent in your urban township. Please contact an Agent to arrange before delivery.

We use an authority to leave courier service, no signature is required and the courier will leave your fruit in a safe place if your not home.

LOST OR DAMAGED FRUIT

If you do not receive your order after 2 days of dispatch or your fruit is damaged, please contact us immediately. Refer to our Terms and conditions.

FREIGHT COSTS

North Island
3 – 5kg travel boxes: $18.00 per box
8 – 12.5kg travel boxes: $26.50 per box

South Island
3 – 5 kg travel boxes: $13.50 per box
8 – 12.5kg travel boxes: $17.50 per box

Central Otago – Cromwell, Alexandra, Wanaka, Queenstown, Ranfurly
3 – 5 kg travel boxes: $7.50 per box
8 – 12.5kg travel boxes: $7.50 per box

Rural Delivery
Additional $6 per box.

RURAL DELIVERY

Rural delivery is an additional charge of $6 per box, please note all fruit boxes delivered to a rural address is at the customers own risk. We highly recommend delivery to a friend/relative, your local business hub or collect your fruit from your local NZ Couriers agent.

Due to the current environment and extra pressures on the freight industry, we do not recommend RD delivery, RD deliveries will be at the customer’s risk and no claims will be accepted.

RIPENING AND STORAGE

RIPENING AND STORAGE

A ripening and storage guide is included in every Travel Box.

  • Remove bubble wrap and plix (plastic trays) but keep the fruit in the box if possible.
  • Cover the box with a towel or blanket and leave in a cool to warm place until desired ripeness is reached. Make sure you check the fruit regularly!

OR

  • to get a few pieces of fruit ripe at once, put the fruit in a paper bag and refrigerate remaining fruit until needed.
  • Fruit in high humidity locations do need to be checked regularly when ripening and placed in the refrigerator promptly.
  • REFRIGERATE FRUIT ONCE RIPE
  • Fruit best eaten at room temperature.
