All have a light crisp texture. The Gala is a juicy, sweet apple. Royal Gala remains a favourite with kiwis. Galaxy and Royal have a high colour strain (red stripe) but are actually a combination of a golden delicious and kids orange red. While the Gala which comes ripe at the same time is sweeter with more of a pink blush. All three are highly recommended for lunchboxes. Picking starts end of January and carries on through February. Depending on picking is what will be available regarding choice.
